Few weeks ago, I ordered a photo mug from Myntra.com for almost free of cost, I just paid Rs 50 for shipping only. After they delivered the product, they sent me an email asking about a feedback survey (which may take 2 minutes of my time). I am already happy with their customer service, so I did not hesitate to spend two minutes for them. Their customer service is good and my two minutes feedback will help them to make their service better. And after I filled up the feedback form, which took just 1 minute, they offered me a discount voucher of Rs 100. Which can be used, if I purchase any product priced Rs 200 or more within 1 month. They could have just simply printed “Thank You” on the browser, like the MakeMyTrip.com did after the survey. Instead they opted to send me a discount voucher to appreciate my feedback. In return they got many advantages. They gave me another reason to like them. And as they provided me a promotional discount voucher (I will tell more about promotional discount vouchers in a new post soon), they may able sell me another product. And obviously, they can improve their service with my feedback.

When I found any extremely good offer at Zoomin.com, I make a purchase. I have ordered two flipbooks (photo books) from them and every time they have sent me a 50% discount voucher on my next photo book purchase. This is another way to say “thank you” to your customer. And the promotional discount voucher can make another sale for them.

So, I will tell few points to make your customers satisfied, happy and to love you.

• If you are having a offline business, when any potential customer arrive at your place, welcome them with a smile. And if you are a online business, make your website such that when any potential customer visit your website, they will feel welcomed. It’s much important how you design your online shop.
• At offline stores, the customer should have a good shopping experience. Understand what they need. Show them many such stuff, which they will like. Don’t ask for their budget to show them limited stuff within their budget. Often, business owners and sells persons think that if they will ask the budget, they will have less effort to display the products, only in that range. If you show them many products without knowing their budget, you will have to spend more effort, they many not buy the product out of their range now. But they may comeback with a higher budget in future.

  Similarly, at online stores, make it easier for the customer to browse more products. Make their experience a better one.

• Ask your customers tea, coffee, juice or soft drinks. And if it’s an online shop, treat them with an exciting offer.
• When they complete their purchase, offer them some discount on their next purchase. This will boost the process of their comeback to your store.
• Provide an awesome customer service. Your customer should feel that you care for them. Make the return, exchange and refund processes easier and faster.
• Always ask for a feedback.
• And thank you in a style, they will love.

I always say “I proud to be an Indian”, “I love my India” etc. I don’t find enough reason to justify what I say. My question to those people, who ask why should they proud to be an Indian or why should they love India: “Do you find reasons to love your mother?”. So no need to find any reasons to justify your love to your nation. In this post I will focus on some points which an (or every) Indian should. If people will follow these rules, then a day will come, those people who think they should not be an Indian will feel ashamed.

No Indian should spit on road, on corners of public or private offices, or any public or others private places. The only place they should spit is a trash bin or special spit boxes or on a wash basin. If you are spiting on a wash basin, then please run the water to clean it. What’s the main reason of an Indian’s spit so much and anywhere they want. Because they eat paan and gutkha (a tobacco product). Eating paan without tobacco is not bad. This is a part of our culture. So we can’t ask people to stop eating paan. Instead we (means our govt.) should make arrangements, so that people can spit at the right place. I don’t eat paan. But when I have a cough, I always look for a suitable place to spit it. I don’t spit it on everywhere. And I understand difficulty of finding a suitable place to spit. By the way, why there is no law against spitting on public places, like smoking in the public spaces?

No Indian should litter on everywhere. In India, most of the place look like a litter graveyard. Road to train, everywhere people litter without thinking for a second. Some people don’t use litter box where available, just put their waste anywhere. And sometimes I find difficulty to find a litter box to dispose my waste. Why there is not enough litter boxes everywhere? By the way, why there is no law against litter on public places?

There are many such small but serious activities not to be done by any Indian. If I will write one by one, then the post will be much longer and no one will read this. But why people do what they should not do. Nothing will change by this post. Most of the people who do those activities will never read this post. So, what should we do? We should educate them. This is something which will change India. How many people educate their children not to spit or litter on public places. Instead those people do all the wrong activities in front of their children. If you ask why are you doing this wrong stuff, the answer may come like these: “What’s your problem?”, “What’s wrong with this?”, “Everyone is doing this, will you stop them?” etc. Still we have to stop them and educate them. Nothing will change by criticizing them or writing an article which will create a buzz to get fame.

This is the message I got in Daily Horoscope of Yahoo Messenger. Normally, I close this window and does not read. Whenever I read those, just over looked, even the words and the sentences does not reach at my brain. Don’t know why, today I read it carefully and impressed by the forecast.

I love to dream, I dream in day, I dream at night, I dream while sleeping. And this forecast touched my heart. I may meet my lady luck, my beloved, my dream girl tomorrow. And all these dreams are important, most of my dreams may come alive or die forever. It’s also interesting that, I met her 3 times in my dream this week. And what’s going to happen in my dream tonight. Will it be a dream to remember? Will it be a sweetest dream of all?

I did not see any such dream last night. If I would have seen some, forgot when I wake up. And I think I did not see any such great dream. Finally, I met her today and have a great time with her. We met each other after two years. I am not going to forget this wonderful moment in my life. About the dream… I can’t say it the sweetest, but was sweet. I hope many sweeter moments to come soon.
