Irony of Indian Cricket Fans

Sachin Tendulkar is a great cricketer. And he will continue his legendary. He is god of cricket. After his retirement everyone will miss him. But what’s going on since past few days is ridiculous.

Some people are saying that Sachin is not retiring from cricket, cricket is getting retired from Sachin. What kind of bullshit is this? I have seen use of this kind of sentence for funny lines. And you are saying this seriously with tears in your eyes?

Some people are saying this there is no cricket without Sachin. Probably they will stop watching cricket after this. Sachin has retired from T20Is and ODIs, since a long time. You stopped watching those formats of the game? I bet no one is going to stop watching cricket after this match.

Hidden text in a spam email

I often find few spam emails in my inbox. It’s kind of normal, when I get a promotional email or newsletter, which I have not subscribed to. But I even get famous spams like easy money opportunity, great job offer etc. Ideally, these emails should go to spam, but since last few years Gmails spam filter is not working well. It’s even not learning well when I mark emails as spam. But recently I got an email with a lot of white area below the text of the email. When checked properly, I found that there are some text in white colour so that it will not be visible. And I guess this text is used to defeat spam filters. Here is the copy of that text:

24 – First Episode

Last night they started the telecast 24, an Indian television drama series based on the American series of the same name, on Colors channel. I knew about 24 before, but never watched this. While Anil Kapoor is trying to change the Indian television prime time trend set by Ekta Kapoor, I wanted to watch it. From the promos I was finding it interesting. And it proved right. However I found a couple of things, which I would like to criticize: One is a mistake in the making and another is bounced over me a little.

The scenes of the series runs in real-time. This means every second you watch on the screen is happening at the exact time in the story. You are watching everything happening at a location unless the scene shifts to another location. In a scene Trisha Rathod (played by Tisca Chopra), wife of Jai Singh Rathod (played by Anil Kapoor), founds that her daughter is not at home. She searches for her and then calls Rathod. Rathod asks her, whether she tried to call the phone of their daughter. She replies something similar to “of course, I did that”. We are watching everything in real-time. We are with her since she found her daughter missing to this time. How did we miss the scene, when she called her daughter?

Towards the end of the episode, a terrorist kills a photographer and an air hostess, plants a time bomb, which was hidden in the fire extinguisher, jumps from the flight. And then the bomb blasts in the flight. It was required to kill the photographer and get his smart card ID, to kill the air hostess, but was it really required explode the international aeroplane? This one bounced over me. And I think no one will talk about this incident in this series anymore. This incident will not be broadcasted in news channels. Let’s see. I am going to watch episode 2 tonight.

Love to read on clean websites with good typography?

If you love to read on clean websites with good typography, you must have heard about Subtle and Medium. Do you have a hosted WordPress blog and you want to be like these websites? There are a couple of WordPress themes can do this for you. wp-svbtle is a WordPress theme created around one year ago. Though Svbtle have changed their design by then, still this theme can make your blog clean with good typography. And if you are a fan of Medium, then there are a couple of themes on GitHub: WPMedium and MediumPress.

I have not tried anyone of these. When I will get some time for this, I will try them for sure. If you try these, please let me know about your views.

Olly Bolly Hollywood

Who’s That Girl?

Thanks to Sushant, who bought a 42 inches HD TV and Tata Sky HD subscription with Star Movies HD, so that I can watch some good Hollywood movies almost everyday. Mostly I watch a movie at 9 pm or/and after 11 pm and anytime I find a good movie running on a holiday.

On weekends I could not watch a movie at 9 pm on Star Movies HD as we watch some reality shows on Hindi channels. And when these programs end at 10 pm, I switch the channel to Star World HD, where a movie starts at 10 pm on Saturdays.
